- Save 50% - 80% off local retail prices! -

Black, Color, and even Magnetic toners.

Specializing in HP and Lexmark Printers.

Please see the middle of this page for a list of supported printers.

1-week turnaround, free pick-up and delivery in Duluth, MN or Superior, Wisconsin area.  Or choose free shipping anywhere in the continental USA.

In a serious hurry?  Supported cartridges filled at your site by my mobile unit for $15.00 extra.  The only on-site refilling service in the area.  Onsite refilling can save you both time and money.

Not in the Duluth/Superior area?  Mail your cartridge to me with payment and get free shipping and handling.

Supported cartridges filled in my van on Fridays or before 10 AM Mon.-Thur. at your location for an additional $15.00.

When you have a cartridge to refill, call Kathy at Proctor Massage (218)590-7981 to be put on the Friday pick-up/delivery route in the Duluth/Superior area.  My e-mail address is foxesfarm@yahoo.com, and my mailing address is 5812 Ratika Rd. Duluth, MN. 55810.

Unlike some refillers, I never use generic toner, and you get your own cartridge back.

Because I cannot control how a cartridge is handled and used, I will only guarantee the first time a cartridge is refilled that it will work properly when first installed, and only if it comes in it's original packaging.  If a cartridge is returned for a refund, I will keep the cartridge for research purposes.  Most cartridges can be filled 3 times before needing a drum change.

Laser printers are fast and durable, but at $69.99 to $519.99 each, the toner cartridges are alarmingly expensive.  Depending on how they are handled and used, cartridges can be refilled 2-4 times if you use the right tools and toner for each model.  For $20.00, I can even replace the toner drum on most models for another 3-5 refills on each drum change.  We are limited only by how carefully the cartridge is handled between uses, how clean the paper used is, and when the gasket finally wears out.  Volume discounts up to 80% are always available; just give me the cartridge number or printer model and your estimated number of cartridges needed per month.  See the bottom of this page for a discount chart example.  Because I buy wholesale and in bulk, I can refill cartridges for the same price that you could if you bought one kit at a time.  You might as well let me deal with the mess and the smell of melted plastic and save yourself the time and hassle.

Proper care instructions to maximize your cartridge life:

  • Keep the original packaging for storage and transport.  This is vital to protect the delicate moving parts.  If there is an anti-static bag, keep it too.
  • Handle the cartridge by the built in handle or the ends whenever possible, and never put pressure on the door or touch the drum.  For those of you who take out a cartridge and shake it for the last bit, shake it carefully!
  • Always use clean paper.  Never try to put a sheet of paper back through a laser printer, even if nothing has been printed on it.  This often scratches the drum, or lodges a particle between the drum and gasket.  Drums cost $20.00 to replace, and I can’t replace the gasket if it gets damaged.  Paper is cheaper than a new cartridge.
  • Keep the cartridge out of direct sunlight, and store in a cool, dry place.  Heat is the drum’s enemy.
  • If you see repetitive spots, streaks, or lines running the length of your page, the drum needs to be changed.  If this continues after a drum change, the gasket or wiper arms are worn out and the cartridge’s life is at an end.  I will refund the $20.00 price of the last drum change if the dead cartridge is returned to me.
  • Please put your name and address on the cartridge box.  A return address label works fine.

Call 590-7981 to be put on the Friday pickup route.  In order to increase efficiency, I have a one week turnaround on all supported refills, and 2 weeks for cartridges not on the list, as it takes about a week to order the new kind of toner.  At up to $800.00 per order for a single toner stock, I’m keeping my prices down by keeping an inventory of toner only for cartridges I know people already need filled.  E-mail me at Editor@FoxesFarm.com, or visit www.FoxesFarm.com.  I also clean and repair computers for $30.00.  Wiping the hard drive and reinstalling your software is $30.00.  Oh, yeah, I’m also a therapist at Proctor Massage-$35.00/hour.

Why is refilling so cheap?  Refilling isn’t as thorough as remanufacturing.  Remanufactured cartridges have the drum and gaskets replaced, and are then refilled with toner.  This only saves you about 10-30% over a new one.  Refilling just empties the waste hopper and refills the cartridge with the proper toner, saving 50-80%.

List of supported printers/cartridges

If you don’t see your cartridge here, don’t despair.  98% of the cartridges out there will just take an additional week to fill, as I need to order toner.  If your cartridge isn’t in currently refillable, I will let my supplier know to work on getting that type of toner and finding a safe place to melt the filling hole.

Magnetic toner (Used only by banks) is more expensive, cannot be filled while you wait, & is not available for every printer.

(Some cartridges such as the phasers are less than 50% off because they are not a cartridge that incorporates an imaging drum, but are just a hollow tube with a built in refilling plug. As such, just refilling toner isn’t such a big price difference over new.)

Lexmark printers need a $10.00 Replacement Microchip. (Reusable)

Volume discounts are always available for 5 or more cartridges per month. Just give me the estimated number of refills needed per month along with the printer models or cartridge numbers used, and I’ll give you the best possible discount I can.

Let’s look at some volume discounts for the HP Laserjet 4100 family, including multifunction machines.  Prices listed are per cartridge.

Cartridge ID Office Max Price My regular Refilled Price 5 or more cartridges refilled in a month. 10 or more cartridges refilled in a month. 20 or more cartridges refilled in a month. 30 or more cartridges refilled in a month. Wow, that’s $102.44 off retail each! Or a 74% Savings.
61A $98.99 $49.50 $47.00 $44.55 $34.65 $26.00
61X high capacity $138.99 $69.50 $66.00 $62.55 $48.65 $36.55

One of the reasons for such dramatic volume discounts is that when ordering enough toner and plugs to refill 300 cartridges at a time, my toner costs are cut in half compared to ordering enough to refill 25 at once, as I do now. Savings will vary greatly depending on the type of toner your cartridge needs.
