I'll gladly convert your book to Microsoft's e-book reader format without making any claims to your copyrights, if you'll agree to pay me the fees below and not post any pornography or hate materials. I will glance over all submissions to ensure their compliance with the above limitations. Here are the fees: Conversion of your manuscript file to e-book format - $5.00 Conversion of your cover art to e-book format - $5.00 Include your own description and review in addition to my basic review - $5.00 A custom review written especially for your book - $15.00 (This service is available only if your book was edited by me. If you'd ever like to self publish 4 or more of your works as e-books, or just don't trust me to do the converting, I have a compilation of 4 books and my own notes on a CD-ROM for $19.99, S&H included. Maybe you can think up a way to market your own books. CDs only cost about 20 cents to burn these days, and I've found e-book converter anywhere from free to $50.00 that can be a pretty cheap outlay, especially if you split the cost with another author. Or skip buying this CD, and have it converted by me for $5.00, then you can distribute copies on CDs or as e-mail attachments. Please see the Manuscript Editing Page for other services to authors. Editing by me is NOT a requirement for file conversion. I obviously think it's a worthwhile expense, but the choosing of any level of these services is entirely up to you. This is the program that I use to secure the downloading of my own books and software products. If you plan on downloading your e-books to people, you'll need this to keep clever thieves from stealing your books. It only cost me $29.95. I would only recommend downloading from your own site if you're fairly comfortable with HTML and web design, or if your webmaster/host is amenable to installing this program on your site. On the bright side, after the considerable work to set it up, you don't have to do a thing except track your profits while the customers automatically download their books, even at 3:00AM. If you would like to submit the e-book for sale on my under construction e-book catalog page, posting will be $5.00, or free if I did the conversion for you. I will not own your copyright, so you will be free to sell this book in other places. You decide how much to ask for the book. The sales commission fee will be $1.50 for downloaded books, and $2.25 if I send them a CD. For books over $20.00, these fees will be raised to $2.50 and $4.50. (This covers shipping and PayPal's fees to me as a business account owner that can accept credit cards online. On the bright side, you can accept the sales money from me with a personal instead of a business PayPal account, so that you won't be charged any fees for the transfer of funds you receive.) |
